Although the use of the metalic substructure in the porcelain restorations of the anterior teeth group has enabled the restoration to become resistant there may appear some esthetic and adaptation problems. The esthetic and marginal adaptation anticipations have caused the all porcelain crowns to be studied in the recent years. The differences in terms of the strength distribution using the photoelastic method1 in the porcelain fused to metal crowns and alE porcelain crowns have been analysed in this study According to the findings of our study, it is more convenient to transmit the stretght in to the abutment occuring in the porcelain fused to metal crowns than in the all proceJain crowns-

Ön grup dişlerde porselen restorasyonlarda metal altyajjimn kullanılması restorasyona direnç sağlarken, estetik ve uyum problemlerinin ortaya çıkarabilmektedir. Estetik ve uyum beklentileri son yıllarda metal desteksiz porselen kronların araştırılmasına neden olmuştur. Çalışmamızda metal destekli ve desteksiz porselen kronların fotoelastik yöntem ile kuvvet dağılımı farklılıklarını inceledik. Çalışma sonuçlarımıza gore, metal destekli kronlarda oluşan kuvvetlerin destek dişe iletimi metal desteksiz porselen kronlara göre daha uygundur.
