In today's world, production of goods and service is an important indicator of a country's development and competitiveness. Unnecessary stock holding increases costs Production stock planning is a way that helps the company to meet its demands and to have minimum costs. This study is about production stock planning which has a dynamic structure. In first section, terms about production and in second section the concept of stock are introduced. In third section dynamic programming approach which forms the basis of practice study is explained. In the last section multi-stage dynamic production stock planning which performed in West Machine Company is presented.

Bu çalışmada; izmir 'de kurulu Batı Makine Sanayiinin ürettiği Büyük boy mutfak seti' 1997 yılı aylık talep miktarlarını karşılayacak minimum maliyetli üretim planı elde edilmiştir. Çok aşamalı üretim stok planlaması olarak tespit edilen söz konusu problem için optimal çözümü sağlayacak yaklaşımın dinamik programlama olduğu öngörülmüı ve ilk olarak dinamik programlama yaklaşımı anlatılmış ardından problem ortaya konarak modellenmiı daha sonra çok aşamalı üretim - stok planlaması gerçekleştirilme ve sonuçlar elde edilerek değerlendirilmiştir.
