The purpose of this research is to investigate whether perceived social support from different support sources such as family, friends, and a special person predict entrepreneurship level of vocational college students. The study group was composed of 306 freshmen students attending the vocational college of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. We collected our data during 2008-2009 academic year. So as to determine the vocational college students’ level of entrepreneurship the Entrepreneurship Scale developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül (2008) was employed. In order to determine the vocational college students’ perceived social support from different support sources, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support which was developed by Zimet et al (1988) was used. In research it is determined that entrepreneurship was significantly predicted by students’ perceived social support from different support source (friends and special person).

Bu çalışmanın amacı, meslek yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin girişimcilik düzeylerini farklı kaynaklardan (ailelerinden, arkadaşlarından ve özel bir insandan) algıladıkları sosyal desteğin anlamlı düzeyde yordayıp yordamadığını belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Meslek Yüksekokulu’ nda öğrenim gören toplam 306, 1. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, 2008-2009 akademik yılında toplanmıştır. Meslek yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin girişimcilik düzeylerini belirlemek için, Girişimcilik Ölçeği (Yılmaz ve Sünbül, 2009) ve öğrencilerin sosyal destek düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla ise, Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (Zimet ve diğerleri, 1988) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin farklı sosyal destek kaynaklarından (arkadaş ve özel bir insan) algıladıkları desteğin girişimciliği manidar olarak yordadığı belirlenmiştir
