The globalization process - consisted of various dimensions such as economic, political, technological/communicative, environmental/demographic and cultural - brings about radical changes in shaping the world we live in; and has influence on Turkey in a variety of ways, similar with the case of other countries. However, the crucial point to emphasize here by looking at the other side of the coin is that Turkey could influence the globalization process in several ways, as well. Compared to many other countries, Turkey has a much more advanced capacity to influence the globalization process. The primary reason for that is Turkey’s political, military and economic power. Through this multidimensional power, Turkey acquires the opportunity to conduct active regional and global policies. The present study aims at examining these aforementioned political, military and economic power elements of Turkey in the globalization process.

Ekonomik, siyasi, teknolojik/iletisimsel, çevresel/demografik ve kültürel olarak çesitli boyutlardan olusan küresellesme süreci, içinde yasadığımız dünyanın sekillenmesinde köklü değisikliklere neden olmakta; diğer tüm ülkelere benzer sekilde, Türkiye’ye de türlü sekillerde etki etmektedir. Ancak, burada önemle vurgulanması gereken husus, madalyonun diğer tarafına da bakarak, Türkiye’nin de küresellesme süreci üzerinde türlü etkilerde bulunabildiğidir. Diğer birçok ülke ile kıyaslandığında, Türkiye’nin küresellesme süreci üzerinde etkide bulunabilme kapasitesi çok daha ileri seviyededir. Bunun temel nedeni, Türkiye’nin sahip olduğu siyasi, askeri ve ekonomik gücüdür. Bu çok boyutlu güç sayesinde Türkiye, gerek bölgesel gerekse küresel anlamda etkin politikalar yürütebilme imkanına kavusmaktadır. Halihazırdaki çalısmanın amacı, küresellesme süreci içerisinde Türkiye’nin sahip olduğu bu siyasi, askeri ve ekonomik güç unsurlarının incelenmesidir.
