Abstract (2. Language):
The use of fine needle aspiration (FNA) in the diagnosis oj many lesions in different parts oftiie body is quite widespread, while its use in oral lesions is very recent. In the present study, which aims to investigate the diagnostic value oj FNA in solid oral lesions, FNA specimens of 32 lesions were examined in comparison with their histopathological sections. Cytological specimens were evaluated according to the presence of diagnostic cells and in conclusion it wasshown that FNA was not very diagnostic in fibrous lesions, whereas in lesions with loose stroma, rich in vessels or injlamma-tory cells and in malignant tumors, FNA was a very successful method giving a correct diagnosis.

Vücudun çeşidi bölgelerindeki lezyonlarda ince iğne aspirasyonu (İİA)'nun tanıya yönelik kullanımı oldukça yaygın olmasına karşılık, ağız içindeki lezyonlardaki kullanımı henüz yenidir. Ağız içinde yer alan solid kitlelerde İİA uygulamasının değerini saptamak amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada, 32 lezyondan alman İİA örnekleri histopatolojik tanılarla karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Sitolojik örnekler tam koydurucu hücre içe-rip icermemeleri acısından değerlendirilmiş ve sonuç ta fibröz doku içeren lezyonlarda İİA'nin başarılı olma-dl&l buna karşılık ffevsek vanıdaki damarsal ve iltihao-sal lezvonlarla malLn tümörlerde bu vöntemin olduk ça başarılı olduğu ve kesin tanıya götürebileceği ortaya konmustur.
