Biopsy of mucosal lesions can be carried out by means of several methods. Punch biopsy is a simple and safe method of obtaining on oral biopsy specimen. In this study, a 4mm disposable punch urns used in performing 30 biopsies from various'locations of the oral cavity. There were no complications that arose duiing the surgical procedure and wound healing. In conculusion, the punch biopsy of the oral lesions is a simple, safe and useful technique that can be easily employed by dentist.

Mukozal lezyonlann biyopsileri çeşitli yöntemlerle yapılmaktadır. Punch biyopsi ağız içi lezyonlarda güvenle kullanılabilen basit bir metoddur. Bu çalışmada, 30 hastada ağız içinde çeşitli bölgelerde lokalizas-yon gösteren lezyonlardan 4mm çapında disposbl punch kullanılarak biyopsi yapıldı. Bütün olgularda kanama basınç İle kontrol altına alındı. Ameliyat esnasında veya yara iyileşmesi döneminde herhangi bir komplikasyonla karşılaşılmadı. Punch biyopsinin , ağız içi lezyonlann tanısında diş hekimleri tarafından kolayca uygulanabilen basit bir yöntem olduğu sonucuna varıldı.
