BIR YUMUŞAK ASTAR MADDESININ FARKLı AKRILIK PROTEZ KAIDE MATERYALLERINE BAĞLANMA DAYANıMı

BOND STRENGTH OF A RESILIENT LINER TO DIFFERENT ACRYLIC RESIN DENTURE BASE MATERIALS

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
In this investigation bond strength of Molloplast-B resilient liner to various acrylic resin denture base materials was evaluated by using a tensile bond strength procedure. Lucitone 199, Pacton and Meliodent acrylic resin surfaces were processed as uncured and smooth versus precured and roughened before bonding with Molloplast-B. Ivocap and Compresin resins were measured using an Universal Instron testing machine at a constant deformation rate oj 2mmlmin. Lucitone showed the lowest mean bond strength value (7.61 kg/cm2), Meliodent exhibited the highest mean bond strength value (12.91 kg/cm2). It was concluded fom this study that sufficient bond strength can be achieved with use of unconventional acrylic resins with resilient liners and roughening thepre-cured acrylic resin surfaces increase the bond strength for certain resins.
