Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this study was to compare the flushing effectiveness of three deferent needles fey using a radioisotope technique. Thirty freshly extracted single rooted maxillary incisor teeth were used. The root canals of teeth were injected with the radioactive solution containing the complex oj w>»<Tc-DMSA following the root canal instrumentation. The teeth were randomh divided into three experimental groups. The root canals were irrigated with conventional need¬le in group I, blunted needle in group 2 and perforated needle in group 3, using with sterile saline solution as an irri-gant. Âe amount ofradiactivily was measured using gama camera following the root canal irrigation There was no statistical difference among the needles in 'respect of their flushing effectiveness.
