Abstract (2. Language): 
In this paper, how trade unionism which has been the major representatives of workers since the Industrial Revolution and played an important role in re­organising of Europe after the second world war and in development of "European Society Model", was effected by social, political and economic changes after 1970s and what the new perspectives that trade unions must apply to cope with these changes were discussed. In this context, at first, post-world war period was evaluated briefly, and then, the changing conditions that effect trade unionism today were discussed from EU point of view. And finally, the new policies and perspective changes that trade unions must apply to as results of these new conditions were taken into consideration.

Makalede, sanayi devriminden günümüze emeğin temsilcisi olan ve Avrupa'nın özellikle savaştan sonraki yeniden yapılanmasında ve "Avrupa Toplum Modeli"nin gelişiminde önemli rol oynayan işçi sendikalarının 1970'lerden bu yana yaşanan siyasal, sosyal ve ekonomik değişimlerden etkileşimi ve değişen koşullar karşısında yeni perspektiflerin neler olduğu tartışılmaya çalışılmıştır. Avrupa Birliği Ölçeğinde öncelikle savaş sonrası dönem kısaca değerlendirilmiş ve sonrasında sendikal hareketi günümüzde etkileyen değişim koşulları incelenmiştir. Makalenin ikinci bölümünde ise değişen koşullara bağlı olarak sendikaların benimsemesi gereken yeni politikalar ve perspektif değişiklikleri değerlendirilmeye çalışümıştır.
