In this study, the relationships between the breast height-age and dominant height in the Doğu Karadeniz Fir (Abies nordmanniana Spach) forests was investigated in order to represent if it can be used to define site quality or not. For this purpose, the developmental trend of the ags and dominant height after the breast height level was searched first, then, to what exteent this relationships can eliminate the affect of supressions in the past of stands was investigated.

Bu çalışmada, Doğu Karadeniz Göknarı (Abies nordmanniana Spach) or-malarında göğüs hizası yaşı ile üstboy arasındaki ilişkiden bonitet belirleme amaciyle yararlanılıp yararlanılamayacağı incelenmiştir. Göğüs hizası yüksekliğindeki yaş başlangıç kabul edilmek suretiyle, bu yükseklikten itibaren başlayan boylanma trendinin, toprak seviyesinden başlayan boylanma trendinde görülen baskı periyodunun olumsuz etkilerini ne derece azalttığı araştırılmıştır.
