Folklore, or the Public Information for the community events, viewing is located between branches of science. It is the subject of folklore events, is a science in itself, as a branch-Folklore event has the special qualities which specifies the qualifications, briefly summarized as follows:
Folklore events, the collective nature. Folklore inceleiıemez event as an isolated incident. Each Folklore event, which constitute social life must be examined in terms of the various relations. Thus, each of folklore event invites social research.
Folklore event appears different examples. These different examples, "variant" call. These changes, such as a fixed order in a folklore event is an event that is not connected to physics. The presence of different samples, a folklore event is always spatial, environmental, indicates that an attribute-folklore event for him, compared to a time and place specified.

Folklor, yahut karşılığı olan Halk Bilgisi; toplum olaylarını inceleyen, biliın dalları arasında yer alır. Folklorun konusu olan olaylar onu; başlı başına bir bilim, dalı olarak tanımlamaya yarayan özel nitelikleri haizdir- Folklor olayının nitelikleri, kısaca şöyle özetlenebilir :
Folklor olayları, kollektif niteliktedir. Folklor olayı münferit bir Hadise olarak inceleiıemez. Her Folklor olayı, sosyal hayatı teşkil eden çeşitli münasebetler açısından incelenmek gerekir. Böylece her folklor olayı, sosyal bir araştırmayı davet eder.
Folklor olayı, değişik örneklerle karşımıza çıkar. Bu değişik örneklere "Variyant" diyoruz. Bu değişiklikler bir folklor olayının fizik bir olay gibi değişmez bir nizama bağlı olmadığını gösterir. Değişik örneklerin bulunuşu, bir folklor olayının daima yersel, çevresel bir niteliği olduğunu gösterir- Onun için her folklor olayı, bir yere ve bir zamana oranla belirtilebilir.
