Steppe culture was the fundamental factor of having been formed the economic and social structure among Turks. This point has to be considered in all research concerning Turks. Turks, which answered successfully to the challenge of the physical conditions, had created their own steppe culture. Horse and iron was the most important elements of this culture. This culture's another important characteristic is also Turkish Töre that developed paralelly to nomad culture.

Bozkır kültürü Türkler arasındaki sosyal ve ekonomik yapıyı şekillendiren temel faktördü. Herhangi bir çalışmada bu noktanın bilhassa dikkate alınması gereklidir. Türkler Fiziki şartların meydan okumasına başarıyla cevap vererek kendi bozkır kültürlerini yaratmışlardır. At ve demir bu kültürün en önemli unsurlarıydı. Bu kültürün diğer önemli bir özelliği ise göçebe kültürüne paralel olarak gelişen Türk Töresiydi.
