<p align="justify">In this study, the performance of the automotive sector which is a main sector in Turkish industry evaluated in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. The evaluation made applying Data Envelopment Analysis model with two stages. The first stage to measure efficiency performed to generate the sales in terms of employee, total assets and capital; the second stage to measure effectiveness performed chosen sales as an output and net term profit and operating</p>
<p align="justify">revenues as outputs. The analysis results indicate that none of the firms success both in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. In other words, none of the firms took place star region in a efficiency-effectiveness matrix. Besides, the efficiency results show that the firms should decrease their inputs to approximately 90 percent and effectiveness results indicate that the firms should increase highly operating revenues as well as net term profit to improve their performance.</p>
