Abstract (2. Language):
To have a child is the most lofty desire, the most beatiful fruit and the best result for every parent. Therefore, parents have a lot of desire to have children.Every parent have tried to realize their desire (to have a child) by applying to different solutions. However, it have been obverved that extreme desire and excessive ambition to have a child turns into a test subject throughout life. This situation is stated by apothegm of ancient folk‟s insight that “the biggest reason to be destitute of something is to make excessive ambition on this subject.” Desire to have a child and following situations (turning into a test subject for parents after having a child) which have also sociological and psychological aspects are frequently encountered motifs in folk narrations. From this point forth, in this study we will analyze and try to solve how folk approach and discuss this issue (desire to have a child and than turning into a test subject for parents after having a child) in folk narrations

Çocuk sahibi olmak, her anne babanın en ulvi arzularından biri olmakla beraber, aile müessesesinin de en tatlı meyvesi ve en güzel neticesidir. Bu nedenle anne babalar çocuk sahibi olmayı çok arzulamıĢlardır. Eğer ki çocuk sahibi olamıyor iseler farklı çözüm yollarına baĢvurarak bu arzularını gerçekleĢtirmeye çalıĢmıĢlardır. Lâkin kadim halk irfanının “bir Ģeyden mahrum olmanın en büyük sebebi o meselede aĢırı hırs göstermektir” Ģeklinde veciz bir Ģekilde ifade ettiği gibi, çocuk sahibi olma duygusu aĢırı bir istek, heves ve hırsa dönüĢtüğü takdirde bu konunun bir imtihan vesilesine dönüĢtüğü görülmektedir.
Sosyolojik ve psikolojik yönleri de bulunan çocuk sahibi olma arzusu ve sonrasında bunun ebeveyn için bir imtihan vesilesi olma denklemi, halk anlatıları içerisinde yer yer karĢılaĢılan bir motiftir. Bu noktadan hareketle bu çalıĢmada halk anlatıları içerisinde çocuk sahibi olmayı arzulamak, neticesinde bunun bir imtihan meselesine dönüĢmesi ve halk anlatılarında bu meselenin nasıl ve ne Ģekilde ele alındığı incelenecek ve çözümlenmeye çalıĢılacaktır.
