Abstract (2. Language): 
Interest in halitosis has been recently increasing. This review deals with classification of halitosis, treatment needs and importance of diagnosing halitosis. Special attention must be given far reasons of halitosis. Simple treatment measures such as oral hygiene and tongue cleaning may provide relief for a patient suffering from halitosis, Treatment must be applied after diagnosing the reason.

Halitozise olan ilgi son zamanlarda artmaktadır. Bu derleme; halitozisin sınıflandırılması, tedavi ihtiyaçları ve tanış: hakkında bilgi sunmaktadır, Halitozisin nedenleri üzerinde özellikle durulmalıdır. Oral hijyen ve dilin temizlenmesi gibi basit tedavi önlemleri, halitozis şikayeti olan hasta için bir tedavi seçeneği olabilir. Tedavi, nedenin belirlenmesinden sonra uygulanmalıdır.
