Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this study was to examine the prevalence and quality of endodontic Lreatment and occurrence of periapical lesions in nur population. The relationship between the technical standard of endodontic treatment and the occurrence of periapical lesions was also analyzed. Full-mouth radiographic series of 220 patients were examined and the distribution of patients according ta sex and age was also recorded. The results indicate that, the rate of endodontic treatment is 2.74%. It was observed that in 44.67 % of the endodonticaily treated teeth were sufficiently filled, and 5533 % nf [he root canals were inadequately filled. The prevalence of periapical lesions at the non-cndodontically treated teeth was 1.49 %, and 29.33 % of the endodonticaily treated roots demonstrated periapical lesions. There was a significant correlation between the inadequately filling of root canals and the presence of periapical lesions.
