Abstract (2. Language):
In the changing World, the pace of globalization and economic integration process
were seen rapidly and some integration formations have been happened. Among these, the
most effective economic integration is known as European Union which has the ability to
grow and the biggest trader in the world economy. From the point of view of our country as
Turkey, towards integration process of the European Union; the operational mechanism of
institutions of European Union, structure of the standardization institutions and conditions
for exported goods into Europe are vitally important for Turkey.
In this study; the operational process and structure of standardization institutions of
European Union has been considered with their duties in details. In addition to these, it is
aimed to assess CE mark which is compulsory for electronic devices and toys. Its meaning,
qualifications and its importance for Turkey has been assessed in details.

Değişen dünyada, küreselleşme ve entegrasyon alanında oldukça hızlı bir süreç
yaşanmakta ve bu süreç içinde de bir takım bütünleşme hareketleri gerçekleşmektedir.
Bunlar içinde en etkin olanı, dünya ticaretinin büyük bir kısmını elinde bulunduran ve
genişleme potansiyeli olan Avrupa Birliği’dir. Avrupa Birliğine giriş sürecinde olan
ülkemiz açısından; Avrupa Birliği kurumlarının işleyiş mekanizması, standardizasyon
kurumlarının yapısı ve ihraç edilen ürünlerde aranan standartlar büyük önem taşımaktadır.
Bu çalışmada; Avruapa Birliği standardizasyon kurumları yapısı, işleyişi ve görevleri
itibariyle ayrı ayrı ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca, Avrupa Birliğine ihraç edilen ve özellikle elektroniğe
dayalı ürünlerle, oyuncaklarda aranan bir işaret olan CE işareti; anlamı, gelişimi, özellikleri ve
Türkiye açısından önemi itibariyle ayrıntılı bir biçimde değerlendirilmiştir.
