Abstract (2. Language):
Mehmed Akif Ersoy who lived in the period before and after the Republic,
as well as by the identity of poet, is a philosopher and a scientist. The social structure
was living a very good move from this situation by observing the current situation and
with very strong predictions about the future of society has expressed his poems. Just
poetry with departures from such a figure, the education and training related to the
opinions put forth, both in the Ottoman period and the newly established Republic at the
beginning of the next era in education and the general condition of the agreement will
provide. The aim of the study is to reveal Mehmet Akif's views on education and
training. "Safahat", that it is the basic work, examined from beginning to end;
statements that shed light on the solution of today's educational problems are evaluated
and suggestions are given.

Mehmed Akif Ersoy, Cumhuriyet öncesi ve sonrası dönemlerini yaşamış, şair
kimliğinin yanında bir bilim adamı ve filozoftur. Yaşadığı dönemlerin sosyal yapısını
çok iyi gözlemleyerek mevcut durumu ve bu durumdan hareketle toplumun geleceğine
ilişkin güçlü tahminlerini şiirleriyle dile getirmiştir. Bu anlamda şiirlerinden hareketle,
eğitim ve öğretime ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya koymak; Osmanlının son dönemlerinde ve
Cumhuriyetin başlarındaki eğitim ve öğretime ilişkin genel durum hakkında ipuçları
verecektir. Bu amaçla şairin temel eseri olan “Safahat” baştan sona kadar incelenmiş,
günümüz eğitim sorunlarının çözümüne ışık tutan ifadeler değerlendirilerek önerilere
yer verilmiştir.
