The aim of this in-vitro study was to evaluate bond strength of composite resin after intracoronal bleaching treatment with different types of sodium perborate (SP) mixed with water or hydrogen peroxide using a microtensile bond strength test. Eighty human upper central incisor teeth extracted for periodontal reasons were used. Following obturation, the teeth were randomly divided into eight groups including 10 teeth each. Bleaching agents were then placed in the pulp chamber as follows; Group 1: SP monohydrate (MH) + water, Group 2: SP trihydrate (TRH) + water, Group 3: SP tetrahydrate (TH) + water, Group 4: SP-MH + hydrogen peroxide (HP), Group 5: SP-TRH + HP, Group 6: SP-TH + HP, Group 7: water, Group 8: HP. Access cavities were then sealed with Cavit. The bleaching materials were then replaced at 3 day intervals. After 7 day bleach the crowns were cut vertically from mesial to distal and the labial pulp chamber dentine was prepared for bonding with Clearfil SE-Borıd and restorated with resin composite (Clearfil AP-X). Microtensile bond strengths to the labial pulp chamber dentine were measured using an Instron machine. The data were expressed in MPa and was statistically evaluated. Monohydrate groups mixed with hydrogen peroxide or water showed statistically significant decrease on bond strength when compared the group 7 (p<0.05). There were no significant decrease on bond strength after treatment with water groups of TRH and TH (p>0.05). The data obtained from this study demostrates that ail bleaching agents have decreasing effect on bond strength of composite.

Bu in-vitro çalışmanın amacı farklı sodyum pcrborat tiplerinin su veya hidrojen peroksit ile olan karışımlarının dişlerin intrakoronal ağartılmasmı takiben kompozit bağlanması özerine etkisinin microtensile bağlanma dayanım testi kullanarak belirlenmesidir. Bu amaçla periodontal nedenden dolayı çekilmiş 80 adet insan üst orta keser dişi kullanıldı. Kök kanallarının doldurulmalarını takiben, dişler rasgele on dişten oluşan sekiz gruba bölündü. Ağartma ajanları dişlerin pulpa odalarına aşağıdaki gibi yerleştirildi ve giriş kaviteleri Cavit ile kapatıldı. Grup 1: SP monohidrat (MH) + su, Grup 2: SP trihidrat (TRH) + su, Grup 3: SP tetrahidrat (TH) + su, Grup 4: SP-MH + hidrojen peroksit (HP), Grup 5: SP-TRH + HP, Grup 6: SP-TH + HP, Grup 7: su, Grup 8: HP. 3. günde tekrar ağartma ajanları yenilendi. Toplam 7 günlük ağartma tedavisinden sonra kuronlar mezialden dİstale vertikal olarak kesildi ve labial pulpa odası dentini Clearfil SE-Bond ile hazırlandı ve rezin kompozit (Clearfil AP-X) ile restore edildi. İnstron test cihazı kullanılarak labiyal pulpa odası dentinine microtensile bağlanma dayanımları ölçüldü. Veriler MPa olarak kaydedildi ve İstatistiksel olarak değerlendirildi. Monohİdratın hem su hem de hidrojen peroksit gruplarının bağlanma dayanımındaki azalma grup 7'ye göre istatistiksel olarak önemli bulundu (p<0.05). Trihidrat ve tetrahidratın su gruplarının bağlanma dayanımındaki azalma ise istatistiksel olarak önemli değildi (p>0.05). Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre, tüm ağartma ajanlarının kompozitin bağlanma dayanımında azalmalara neden olduğu belirlendi.
