MİKRODALGA ENERJİSİ İLE POLÎMERİZE EDİLEN AKRİLİK REZİNLERİN BAZI FİZİKSEL ÖZELLİKLERİNİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract (2. Language):
Acrylic resin is the most commonly used material for dentures. In the past few years, acrylic resin monomers and polymers have also been modified to improve not only physical and mechanical properties, but also the working properties that facilitate laboratory techniques include microwave- and visible-light- activated polymerization of resin systems. The aim of the study is to compare several physical properties of different acrylic resin denture base materials. The conventionally processed acrylic resin and specifically processed acrylic resin for microwave polymerization were both cured by microwave energy. The results showed no significant differences in water sorption and solubility between the materials {p>0.05). Statistically significances were found in transverse deflection, fatiqite strength and residual monomer content of acrylic resins {p<0.01 vep<0,05).
