Abstract (2. Language):
Religion has been one of the foundations which affect individuals and
societies at all time of history. The orders of religion firstly are
ordered to individuals but at the same time they form the rules of
societies. Religious belief and worship which have a lot of functions
are a real historical and sociological.
Worship has two sides, one of which interests individuals, the other
one interests society.
The purpose of this task is examining the social functions of worship.
These functions are not only written here. We can say the social
functions of worship like that; worship helps social entegration, it
banishes vices, it teaches social sharing, helping and suppotring.In this article, social functions of worship are examined by means of
religion sociology and historical and functioning approach.

Din tarihin her döneminde bireyleri ve toplumları etkileyen en önemli
kurumlardan biridir. Dinin emirleri öncelikli olarak bireylere emredilirken
aynı zamanda toplumları da düzenleyen kurallardan oluşmaktadır.
Dini inanç ve ibadetlerin birçok fonksiyonlarının bulunduğu da tarihi
ve sosyolojik bir gerçektir. İbadetler madalyanın iki yüzü gibidir
biri bireyi ilgilendiren, diğeri de toplumu ilgilendiren yönü bulunmaktadır.
Bu çalışmanın esas konusu ibadetlerin özellikle toplumu ilgilendiren
sosyal fonksiyonlarının araştırılmasıdır. Bu fonksiyonlar elbette sadece
burada yazılanlar değildir. İbadetlerin toplumsal fonksiyonlarını şöyle
sıralayabiliriz; İbadetler toplumsal bütünleşmeye katkı sağlar, kötülüklerden
uzaklaştırır, toplumsal paylaşmayı, dayanışmayı ve yardımlaşmayı
öğretir.
Makalede ibadetlerin sosyal fonksiyonu, din sosyolojisi merkezinde,
tarihsel ve işlevselci yaklaşımlardan yararlanılarak dokümantasyon
tekniği ile ele alınıp anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır.
