Abstract:In this study, it was tried to find out the socio-ekonomic status and the cultural backgrounds of the students attending Dumlupınar University Education Faculty and to come up with solutions for their problems. For that, 363 students at Dumlupınar University Education Faculty were given a questionaire of 10 questions. With these questions, it was tried to find out the reasons why the students preferred the mentioned university and faculty, the places they dwell , the ways they meet their economic needs, the regions and the cities they come from, the frequency of visiting their families, their harmony with Kutahya people and classmates, opinions about the teaching profession and whether they are optimistic or worried about the future. As a result, it was found out that the prestige of the profession and their having positive attitudes towards teaching profession had an influence on their preferences, that they have dwelling, transportation, scholarship and adaptation to the problems regarding environment and they are worried about in-field employment.

Bu çalısmada; Dumlupınar Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel yapılarını ortaya çıkararak onların problemlerine çözüm önerileri getirilmeye çalısılmıstır. Bunun için Dumlupınar Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde okuyan 363 öğrenciye 10 sorudan olusan bir anket çalısması uygulanmıstır. Bu anket sorularında; öğrencilerin Dumlupınar Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesini tercih etme sebepleri, nerede ikamet ettikleri, maddi ihtiyaçlarını ne sekilde temin ettikleri, buraya hangi bölge ve illerden geldikleri, ailelerinin yanına ne kadar sıklıkla gidip geldikleri, okudukları ilin halkı ve sınıf arkadasları ile uyumları, mesleğe bakıs açıları ve gelecekten ümitli mi yoksa kaygılı mı oldukları, tespit edilmeye çalısılmıstır. Sonuç olarak öğrencilerin tercihlerini meslek saygınlığı ve mesleğe karsı olumlu tutum beslemelerinin etkilediği ; barınma, ulasım, burs ve çevreye uyum problemleri yasadıkları; alan içi istihdam endisesi tasıdıkları tespit edilmistir.
