Abstract (2. Language): 
This study aims to investigate the problems and expectations of the disabled youth as univer¬sity students and in this respect aims to make a contribution to the relevant literature. In respect to social milieu the young people live in, a theoretical framework is drawn by focusing on social Isolation and lack of the ability of developing independent behaviour. The research is a descrip¬tive one utilizing both focus group research and interview in depth. I took approximately one and a half year and data is collected especially about their friendship relations in university, relations with academic staff and university personnel, their problems and needs conceming the classes they took, the research exercises they were given, the exams, the physical conditions of the uni¬versity, using the library and problems concerning transportation, nutrition, and spare time acti¬vities. In conclusion, in tne lignt oftne theoretical framework and the data obtained, certain pro¬positions are developed conceming tne issue in question

Çalışma üniversiteli özürlü gençlerin sorunlarını ve beklentilerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamış-tır.Çalışmanın bir diğer amacı da bu konudaki literatüre katkı sağlamaktır. Gençlerin bulundukları sosyal çevre ile ilgili olarak sosyal izolasyon ve bağımsız davranışlar geliştirememe konula¬rında odaklanılarak teorik çerçeve çizilmiştir. Çalışma, nitel veri toplama ve değerlendirme tek¬niklerinin kullanıldığı betimsel bir araştırmadır. Yaklaşık bir buçuk senelik bir saha sürecini kap¬sayan çalışmada, odak grup ve derinlemesine görüşmelerle, gençlerin üniversite yaşamlarında, arkadaşları, öğretim üyeleri, üniversite personeli, ders dinleme, ödevlerini hazırlama, sınav, üni¬versitenin fiziksel konumu, kütüphane, ulaşım, yemek, temizlik ve boş zaman değerlendirme or¬tamlarına ilişkin sorunları, ihtiyaçları, beklentilerine yönelik verilere ulaşılmış ve teorik çerçeve ışığında konu ile ilgili önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
