THE EFFECTS OF STERILIZATION DISENFECTION AND FILING ON TORSIONAL PROPERTIES OF THE FILES

Abstract (2. Language):
This study has been planned to investigate the effects oj sterilization and disenfection procedures on torsional properties of the used H and K-type files. A total of 100 files, 50 of each type and sizes #15,20,25,30 and 35 were used in the study. The files in the experimental groups were subjected to the following procedures;
* Group A. Two minutes of filing in root canals of extracted teeth.
* Group B. Two, 1 minute period of filing along with two 1-h dry heat sterilization at 170 °C.
• Group C. Two, 1 minute period of filing along with two 24-h disenfection with a glutardialdehyde + formaldehyde containing disenfection solution.
• New files served as controls.
Complete torsional moment and angular deflection plots were obtained for all files in the groups and statistical analysis were performed. The results showed that filing, dry heat, sterilization and disenfection by glutardialdehyde + formaldehyde containing solution procedures do not effect on the torsional properties of the files.

Bu çalışma, sterilizasyon, dezenfeksiyon ve eğeleme işlemlerinin, H ve K tipi kanal eğelerinin torsiyonel Özellikleri üzerindeki etkilerini incelemek amacıyla planlanmıştır. Çalışmada, 50 adet H ve 50 adet K tipi eğenin #15,20,25,30 ve 35 numaraları kullanıldı. Her bir grupta eşit sayıda H ve K tipi eğe olacak şekilde dört grup oluşturuldu.

Grup A'daki eğelerle çekilmiş dişlerin kök kanalları içinde toplam 2 dakika eğeleme işlemi yapıldı.

Grup B'de, iki defa 1 dakikalık eğeleme + iki defa 170°C'de 1 saat boyunca kuru sıcak hava sterilizasyonu uygulandı.

Grup Cde, iki defa 1 dakikalık eğeleme + iki defa, glutar-dialdehit + formaldehit içeren bir solüsyonla dezenfeksiyon İşlemleri yapıldı.

Kontrol grubunu oluşturan eğeler üzerinde hiçbir işlem uygulanmadı.
Eğelerden elde edilen torsiyonel moment ve açısal kırılma değerleri kaydedildi ve bu değerler üzerinde istatistiksel analiz yapıldı. Elde edilen bulgular; eğeleme, kuru sıcak hava sterilizasyonu ve glutardİaldehit + formaldehit içeren bir solüsyonla yapılan dezenfeksiyon işlemlerinin bu tip eğelerin saat yönündeki torsiyonel özellikleri üzerinde etkili olmadığı sonucunu vermiştir.
