Abstract (2. Language):
It is possible to say that after the transmission of the antique science and philosophy into the Islamic world three types of the attitude towards the "foreign sciences" arose among the Muslim scholars and thinkers: whole-disapproving attitude, eclectic attitude, and whole-approving altitude. The purpose of the article is to make an analytical approach to the third attitude (whole-approving attitude) in the case of al-Fârâbî, who is the typical representative of the group. In order to accomplish the aim, I will examine al-Fârâbî's concept of the philosophy under the three titles: "Philosophy As A Completed Process of Thinking", "Philosophy As A Unity of the Truth", and "Philosophy As A Complete System of Sciences".

Bu makalenin amacı, kadîm dünyanın ilim ve düşünce ürünlerinin İslâm dünyasına girmesinin ardından bu ürünlere karşı zuhûr eden tümden-retçi, eklektik ve tümden-kabulcü tavırlar arasmdan üçüncü tavrı (tümden-kabulcü tavır) Fârâbî'nin örnekliğinde tipik bir temsilcisi olması bakımından ortaya koymaktır. Bu yapılırken Fârâbî'nin felsefe tasavvurundan veya felsefe olarak felsefeyi algılayış ve kavrayış temelinden hareket edilecek; ve böylece, bu temeli oluşturan unsurlar "Tamamlanmış Bir Süreç Olarak Felsefe", "Birlik Olarak Felsefe" ve "Bütüncül Bir İlmî Sistem Olarak Felsefe" başlıkları altında irdelenerek onun mezkûr tümden-kabulcü tavrının zihinsel dayanakları gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır.
