Abstract (2. Language):
Educational institutions not only aim to provide high quality education to their students but also help them reach the educational goals. In that regard, assessment of the quality and effectiveness of education plays a crucial role. In order to make the evaluation, the expectation and satisfaction levels of the students, which are widely used, should be determined. The purpose of this study is to determine the satisfaction levels of the graduate students at the Turkish National Police Academy, Institute of Security Sciences with respect to their performance, courses and faculty. This research is conducted in Fall semester of 2009 by using a Likert type scale survey instrument with 21 questions. 70 students responded to the survey by making 270 assessments in 41 different courses, their faculty and their performances in those courses. The results of the research showed that students are highly satisfied not only from their courses but also from the faculty members. In addition, a positive and strong correlation found between the students’ self evaluation of their performance in the courses and course and faculty assessments. Finally according to the evaluation scores, there are significant differences between the faculty members in 14 fields.
