Abstract (2. Language):
The law on Unification of Education underlies Attila İlhan’s ideas with regard to education and besides, it draws
attention that his ideas about this subject centre upon education in foreign language, the position of Religious
Vocational Schools and Village Enstitutes.
The Law on Unification of Education was designed with the aim of training modern highbrows of national,
democratic and secular republic by providing a unity of education. However, in Attila İlhan’s opinion, The Law
on Unification of Education was broken due to the establishment of Religious Vocational Schools after the
1950s and the attempts of public high schools teaching in foreign language.

Attila İlhan’ın eğitim konusundaki fikirlerinin ana eksenini Tevhid-i Tedrisat Kanunu oluşturmakla birlikte bu
konudaki fikirlerinin yabancı dille eğitim, imam hatip okullarının konumu ve köy enstitüleri özelinde yoğunlaştığı
dikkatleri çekmektedir.
Tevhid-i Tedrisat Kanunu, öğretimde birliği sağlayarak ulusal, demokratik ve laik cumhuriyetin çağdaş
aydınlarını yetiştirmek maksadıyla tasarlanmıştır. Ancak İlhan’a göre, 1950’li yıllardan sonra imam hatip
okullarının açılması ve yabancı dille öğretim yapan devlet liseleri teşebbüsleriyle Tevhid-i Tedrisat delinmiştir.
