Abstract (2. Language): 
In this study, errors and the detailed analysis of errors including where most of the mistakes were made, and the reasons why these mistakes were made are put forth for students attending Selçuk Univerisity studying in the German Language and Literature section who learned Turkish as their mother tongue and English as their first foreign language. The experimental part of this study was examining the texts written by the 88 students studying in the German Language and Literature section of Selçuk University. Most of the mistakes were made in the sentence structure areas and have been put forth by examples. As a result of the corrections, it was discovered the students not only transfered rules from their mother tongue, but also from their first foreign language. It was determined the students transfered rules consciously or unconsciously from their previously known languages to the language they are currently learning.

Bu çalışmada Selçuk Üniversitesi, Alman Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümü öğrencilerinin Alman Dilinde bir kompozisyon yazarken yaptıkları hatalar ve bu hataların nedenleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın deneysel kısmında Selçuk Üniversitesi, Alman Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümünde öğrenim gören 88 öğrencinin farklı konularda Almanca olarak yazdıkları kompozisyonlar incelenerek, en çok cümle dizimi alanında hatalar yaptıkları ortaya konmuştur. Düzeltme sonuçlarından, öğrencilerin yalnızca anadillerinden değil, aynı zamanda birinci yabancı dilleri olan İngilizceden de aktarma yaptıkları ve daha önce öğrendikleri dillerin kurallarını bilinçli ya da bilinçsiz olarak yeni öğrendikleri dile aktardıkları tespit edilmiştir.
