Abstract (2. Language):
Microbial dental plaque is the main etiologic factor of periodontal diseases. The factors which make plaque removal dfffcutt, paay an important role nn occurance and progression of these diseases. One of these factors is partially erupted third molars. In this study our aim was to evaluate the effect of removal of partially erupted mandibular third molars on periodontal heatth by following the atteration of plaque and gingival indices before and after surgery. The removal of the partaalty erupted mandbuaar thrrd molars even symptomatic or asymptomatic showed a decrease both in gingiva/ and plaque indices and this means the removal of the partaaly erupted thrrd molars are benefical for improving periodontal heatth.

Mikrobiyal dental plak peridontal hastalıkların etiyo/ojisinde ana etkendir.
