Abstract (2. Language):
The panoramic radiographics were obtained from 185 patients who had no clinical evidence ofpathosis. Impacted tooth, root fragment, cyst, tumor, fracture.anatomical variations, radiopacities, radiolucenciesforeign bodies, sequestra, enlarged maxillary tuberosites, localization of mental foramina, position of maxillary sinus and osteoporosis were evaluated from radyographies. The localization of root fragments were also determined. There were no positive findings of 45 patientsf 24.4 %) while J 40 patients( 75.6%) had one or more positive findings. The results of this study have shown that there is necessity for radiographic examination of all edentulous patients in order to eliminate pathologic lesions and to modify the treatment plan before making complete dentures
