Abstract (2. Language):
Trismus is defined as a tonic contraction of the muscles of mastication. Trismus can dramatically affect quality of life in a variety of ways. Tumours can grow in or around the region of mouth closing muscles. This is also stimulation in tonic spasm by reflexes. The efferent part of the tonic reflex arch of the muscles of mastication is activated, tonus is increased and trismus develops. Trismus is a well recognized morbidity following head and neck cancer treatment. The primary factor in limiting jaw motion in surgery patient is the rapid formation of collagen secondary surgery. These patients complained of restriction in opening of the mouth, thus patients may refer dentist. Thus, the dentists may be early diagnose in head and neck cancer patients. This issue matter by to diagnose early in cancer.
