Abstract (2. Language): 
Self-esteems and socio-demographic characteristics of 222 high school athletes and 471 nonathletes were compared. In this investigation, Rosenber's Self-esteem Scale was used. No. Significant differences were found between athletes and nonathletes for these variables. When sport age was taken consideration, there were no significant differences between athletes who have varying sport ages and nonathletes.

222 sporcu ve 471 sporcu olmayan liselinin benlik saygıları ve sosyo-demografik özellikleri karşılaştırıldı. Bu araştırmada Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği kullanıldı. Bu değişkenlerde sporcularla sporcu olmayanlar a¬rasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmadı. Spor yaşı göz önünde bulundurulduğunda değişik spor yaşlarındaki sporcularla, sporcu olmayanlar arasında anlamlı farklılıklar yoktu.
