Abstract (2. Language): 
Neurodevelopment during theflrst 2 years of life. The objecüve of this study was to unders-tand factors that might affect the neuro development of chİldren during the first two years of life. The study was carried on 200 healthy full term chüdren aged 18-24 months. Wcll Chiid Unit records and parental questionnaires wcre used to collect data. Female sex, talking to children, early acquisition of a toy and nuciear famİly setting were fo-und to bc favourable factors for development. Television viewing time more than 2 hours per day harnpered social and lingustic development of the child. Iıı conelusion, our study showed that child development could be flourished by appropriate co-unselling and guidance to parents about child rearing.

Yaşlan 18-24 ay arasında değişen miadında doğmuş, sağlıklı 200 çocuk üzerinde yürütülen araştırmanın amacı nöromotor gelişimi etkileyen faktörleri belirlemektedir. Çocukların motor ve sosyal gelişimleri ile ilgili bilgiler Sağlam Çocuk Birimi kayıtlarından, ailelerin çocuk bakimi konusunda tutum vc davranışları anket uygulanarak belirlendi. Tüm çocuklara ayrıca Denver II Gelişimsel Tarama Testi uygulandı. Kız çocukların, erken yaşta oyuncak sahibi olanların, çekirdek ailede yaşayanların çeşitli becerileri daha erken yaşlarda kazandıkları belirlendi. Günde iki saatten fazla televizyon seyretmenin özellikle kişisel-sosyal vc dil gelişimini olumsuz etkilediği saptandı. Çocukla konuşmanın dil gelişimi üzerine anlamlı etkisi olduğu görüldü. Değiştirilmesi mümkün olan birçok faktörün çocuk gelişiminde önemli etkilen olduğu vc bu konuda ailelerin bilgilendirilmesi ve yönlendirilmesi gerektiği sonucuna varıldı.
