In this study, some concepts and models related with the satisfaction of the environmental quality of housing, were investigated. In the Adana city selected as research area, the satisfaction of their housing environment for people of the two distict as 'the traditional and the contemporary' was measured ; to use in the environmental quality assessment is intended to establish a data base. The surveys made based on the determined variables, "chi-square test and cross-tabs" with the analysis, were evaluated separately. Users, the variables of education, income, occupation, age, number of children, when with the parameters of cognitive, emotional and behavioral were evaluated, the significant relationships among them were found. According to the degree of satisfaction of individuals, the attitudes such as move to other neighborhoods has been changed. These attitudes depending on the variables such as safety, parking, social amenities, green space, building density, climatic comfort at the around housing has been determined to be varied.

Bu çalışmada, konut yakın çevre kalitesine ait memnuniyet ile ilgili bazı kavram ve modeller incelenmiştir. Araştırma alanı olarak seçilen, Adana kentinde ‘geleneksel ve günümüz’ iki bölge halkının konut çevrelerine yönelik memnuniyetleri ölçülmüş; çevresel kalite değerlendirmesinde kullanılmak üzere, bir veri tabanının oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır. Belirlenen değişkenlere bağlı olarak; yapılan anketler, “chi-square testi ve cross tabs” analizi ile, ayrı ayrı değerlendirilmiştir. Kullanıcıların eğitim, gelir, meslek, yaş, çocuk sayısı değişkenleri; bilişsel, duygusal ve davranışsal parametreler ile değerlendirildiğinde, aralarında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Bireylerin memnuniyet derecesine göre, başka semtlere taşınmak istemesi vb. tutumlarının, konut çevresindeki emniyet, otopark, sosyal aktivite, yeşil alan, bina yoğunluğu, iklimsel konfor vb. değişkenlere bağlı olarak farklılık gösterdiği saptanmıştır
